I'm a seasoned software engineer from a non-traditional background. I have over five years of experience at early to mid-stage VC-backed startups, like soona and MainStreet . I've worked across the entire stack every place I've been, but I am particularly passionate about making delightful user interfaces. I also enjoy mentoring other engineers and passing on any wisdom I've picked up along my journey.
Growing up in New York City, my favorite childhood hobby was playing with Legos. We couldn't afford fancy Lego sets, but I was perfectly content with the humongous tub of random pieces I did have. In lieu of step-by-step instruction manuals, I would build whatever my imagination could come up with. Little did I know, my love for Legos would inspire me to make the transition from preparing to be a pastor to working as a software engineer. Coding feels a lot like Legos—what one can build is only limited by the imagination.
In my free time, you can find me glued to a book, mastering a new skill I won't be using a month from now, or traipsing through the woods and mountains with my wife Megan and pup Solveig.
